Mesmerizing

Freddy Garcia is South America's answer to Carl Pavano. The guy looks annoyed and uncomfortable, and certainly in no rush to throw his baffling array and pitches that never topped 82 mph.

In a downpour, the guy shuffled around, tossed a pitch, got an out and did it again.

And then Rafael Soriano wanted to make it interesting.

Anyway, credit to the 12-year-old Texas sent to the mound. The guy was a victim of one fluky home run and manufactured score. Whatever Nolan Ryan is doing down there is working.
